Cassiterite Flotation - Tin Oxide
2015-7-6 Cassiterite Flotation – Tin Oxide. The nominal size range for cassiterite flotation is between 2 and 100 microns. The top size is variable depending upon the liberation of the cassiterite particles. Cassiterite grains coarser than 100 microns are difficult to float whilst grains finer than 2 microns give selectivity problems.

2021-1-1 The maximum flotation recoveries of cassiterite were 71.47% for 6 × 10 −4 mol/L AT and 61.70% for 10 × 10 −4 mol/L MIBC in the presence of 4.5 × 10 −4 mol/L SHA, respectively. It was interesting to note that the recovery of cassiterite with AT was nearly 10% higher than that using MIBC with the same concentration.

Selective flotation of cassiterite with benzohydroxamic ...
2006-11-1 Cassiterite (SnO 2) is the major source of tin, and quartz (SiO 2) and calcite (CaCO 3 ), two of the earth’s commonest minerals, occur in almost every sample of tin slime as gangue. This paper focuses on the separation of cassiterite from calcite, quartz and slimes by using a short-chain chelating collector – benzohydroxamic acid. 2 ...

Selective Flotation of Cassiterite from Calcite with ...
Cassiterite is the most common and important tin-bearing mineral, and calcite, a primary gangue mineral is generally found in tin deposit. The flotation separation of cassiterite from calcite remains a challenge due to their similar response to traditional reagents. In cassiterite flotation, sodium oleate (NaOL) and sodium silicate (SS) have been widely used as a collector and a depressant ...

2018-6-4 Rotation of cassiterite has been studied on pure minerals in a microflotation cell with sulphosuccinamate as a collector in the presence of some metal ions. The results indicate that sulphosuccinamate demonstrates strong collection, good selectivity on cassiterite, especially in the weak acidity region of pH 6.0, and that lead ions have certain ...
